The year is 2024 - your favorite internet-brand hosts yet another in-person activation.
A wonderful chance to rub elbows with industry players and stars alike. Your calendar is wide open - it’s 2024 miles away. Son of A!
Unfortunately this painful cycle of synapses takes place many times a year for those less coastal. This isn’t to say life sucks when facing a shortage of Los Angeles based sample sales, but i’d be lying if I said I (and everyone else who doesn’t live in NY or LA) wouldn’t enjoy being tossed a bone twice a decade.
The majority of my favorite artists are from (or have moved to) middle America. There’s something thrilling about finding out your favorite designer wasn’t brought up in a major fashion house. George Nakashima (New Hope, PA) Aaron Levine (Granville, OH) Benjamin Edgar (Chicago, IL) to name a few.
Take a chance this Holiday season and put a few dollars in the pocket of an independently owned and operated non-costal powerhouse brand. Not only will they notice your order, they’ll appreciate it!
Carter Young - Newman Peacoat - $725 (Originally Michigan)
Aaron Levine NY - Zip Off Pant - $448 (Ohio) (Holy Schnikes!)
Mystery Ranch - Gallagator 25 - $96.75 (Montana)
Cowgirl - Vintage Black Script Hoodie - $175 (How could I not?) (Ohio)
Coming to you live from the top left corner of Montana,
Matthew Raymond (Owner / Director of Cowgirl Etc)
